I have all of the Simpsons DVD's that are available to buy currently, and one is better than the next! I love every one of them!

Packaging design should get a higher priority than this.

The 11th Season of The Simpsons, easily the longest running prime-time animated series in television history, is undisputably a funny series and this set is no exception. The packaging... may have been designed by a mental patient or a three-year old.

The first thing I did when I unwrapped the plastic wrap was pull the 3-D head of Krusty the Klown from the cover. It's a nice sentiment, but there are very few practical applications for a 3D head of Springfield's most infamous entertainer. (It'll probably make it as far as the garbage can.)

The second thing I did was flip through the accordian-style sleeves. There's a nice theme there - side show games, ring toss (on Apu's milk-bottle vest) and Moe's Wheel of Fortune to name two, but I'm flipping through and wondering... where are the DVDs? I folded it sideways... oh! The discs are behind the art! But how to get to them?
A designer could've done something impressive, by putting plastic inside and having a lever or a slot to pull, like in the old pop-up books, so better to retrieve the disc inside. I am a grown man - my fingers are not as thin as tweezers - and I could not for the life of me grab onto the discs. So I suggest taking a scissors and trimming the cardboard to look like a real DVD set - one that has semicircular cutaways so a normal human being can actually grab onto the disc without having to resort to power tools.

A guy wonders if they should resort to a $5 DVD sleeve that holds 72 discs - they're better designed. More imporatntly, a well designed sleeve shows a consumer that the maker of the DVD actually cares about the safety of its product as well as the ongoing enjoyment of it because the discs aren't scratched or embedded within cardboard sleeves.

Clever and cute are wastes of time if the consumer can't do anything with it. I'm still a die-hard fan of the Simpsons, but I'd almost rather spend my money on a rock that will balance my checkbook.

Another huge Simpson's fan here but this is definitely the worst season (of the 13 that I own) of the show. Doesn't matter what I say, if you are a Simpson fan, you are still going to buy it. As you should. lol.

I love the Simpsons--and have bought all of the seasons up to now--but I HATE this packaging. It's way too easy to scratch the DVDs as you slide them in and out of the slots!

Great season. Very funny. Head package makes it harder to store with other DVDs and the individual DVDs are hard to remove from the sleeves. I should have spent the extra money and gotten the regular DVD box.
